Familia Skateshop Deck
Familia is a skateboard, footwear and apparel retail store located in uptown Minneapolis, owned and operated by Steve Nesser. Originally opening it's doors in Saint Paul in 2005, they've continued to expand by moving to Minneapolis in 2009, and opened a skateboard park in Northeast Minneapolis (Familia HQ) in 2012.
With respect to our states major league baseball team, this graphic not only pays homage to The Minnesota Twins, but acknowledges the excitement and warm weather that comes with their season home openers. Inspired by the Twins' logos and recognizable aesthetic, I had the pleasure of working with talented illustrator Todd Bratrud on the final steps for this boards production. The release of this deck coincided with the Twins home opener, as well the beginning of their major league baseball season.
